Magical girl spec ops Asuka was a great series and I ainโt gonna pretend it wasnโt if the anime supposedly flopped some audience just have bad taste
>>280585450 Interestingly, I had the opposite reaction. Which is to say, the gore turned me on.

>>280584177 (OP) Never saw the anime, but the manga was great. Ending felt a bit rushed to tie up all loose ends a bit too nicely, but overall a great manga. >>280585412 And how!
>>280585644 Even if it was a bit rushed, I liked how they introduced a new generation of mahou shoujo to show that the magical 11 were no longer alone and even as their story ends, there's still mahou shoujo to carry the torch. I loved the crazy one with the hammer that enjoyed breaking things and I'm really glad they didn't show up just to job and die as extras.
The anime was fun but the true gem was the battle theme, I use this as background music when playing Call of Duty/Wargame/Mechwarrior:

>>280586933 Similar Tanya's show has a platoon-sized unit (48 people, IIRC) doing rapid-reaction things Spec-Ops Asuka has a much smaller 2- to 5-person spec ops team
>>280584177 (OP) I enjoyed it alot. I bought the anime BD and all mangas. I really dig it, when they throw magic and modern weapons together. A shame that there is not much more like this out there... War Nurse won
The Grunts were good lads. They tried their hardest yet the lack of magical powers from the fae dimension was too vast. That's why we must close the magitek gap as quickly as possible.

>>280584177 (OP) Tokyo Necro is co-written by the same writer if you liked his asuka I guess
>>280590272 seems pretty realistic. we're living in the bad end timeline irl.

>>280584929 Is a tube top(?) and choker really efficient wear for a spec ops soldier? And what the hell is she shooting, .50 BMG? Those guys are disintegrating from one bullet
>>280584177 (OP) Feels like it should've been able to sell on premise alone. Guess military otakus didn't like the cross genre

>>280584177 (OP) wish there was more of something like this I tried watching virgin road but it ultimately failed to deliver on top of being a jc staff adaptation
>>280587117 >>280587492 Two things I hadn't considered, thanks. Really ashamed of myself for not thinking of a freaking torrent even though I still get anime that way. I've had it too good for too long.
>>280584177 (OP) I wish the manga was longer. It was so much fun, but I guess people thought it was another "Tragical Girl" suffering porn show. The only thing that's close is Tomboy torture at the beginning, the rest has some darker moments, but for the most part it's a silly action show.
>>280595827 Honestly, with the setting you could make a long-runner (well, in theory, I have no illusions that it could ever be THAT popular). You can always make new enemies, like more evil fairies or a faction of Magical Girls (or something similar) from another world that was created by them or some new faction (like those demons we saw for a short time).
>>280597468 >(like those demons we saw for a short time you're talking about from that scene where they introduce the nico looking girl? when they were trading people for gold and jewels
>>280599183 Crazy they donโt show them saving the missing people but i guess itโs to show they canโt solve problems and a means of viewing how gritty the premise of the series is
>>280595905 Wake me up when the writer stops spreading effort so thin with n+1 series and works on finishing the older stuff first. I still haven't read Crystal Genocide or Redline.
>>280602586 Yeah probably especially when the Asuka was depressed and couldโve had a male love interest who wasnโt psychotic and gave her moral support

>>280603150 im all for war nurse winning given how much crap she faced in her upbringing itโs no wonder she turned out the way she was in the story given that Asuka was the only one who was nice to her along with the other members

>>280603027 Kinda lost interest after a while, but it has the crazy and fun characters I liked about Asuka. Might pick it up again once its done. The yuri side couples were nice too.
