Because knowing Ishida he is probably going for the exalted suffering vs. cheap happiness angle. What is done is done in their real life, Batista, even with the power of X was unable to change it. I love how you can read the chapter in two different, completely opposite ways. The first one is that he is absolutely content with his life and doesn't want to change a thing, he is enjoying the every day grind and the other is that he is feeling that something is off and is actually not really happy about the way things are.

But based on the interaction between Batista and Ely I have the suspicion that the Nue or Batista's innermost wish has trapped him in the reality he is in. Ultimately I think his whole character arc is about acceptance so he will eventually have to face reality.

It's been mentioned that Sora's and Mado's important visions aligned before the one about big calamity, which I'm pretty sure came before Sato or Sandek were even in Yamato Mori. And since these visions were used for prevention of incidents and still are by Mado, even recently for the plane hijacks, there's not much evidence that they are in any way unreliable, at least so far.

And Zora is still the most powerful Choujin around, and very experienced to boot. I don't think there's anybody out there really capable of messing with her powers like that. I would say that's it's a self-fulfilling prophecy at most, but with Zora being redeemed, I'm actually expecting it to play in a mostly straightforward way.
