even honzuki (i haven't read part 1 i admit, only 2-5) omitted possible cool things about the world. i will grant you we got good snippets of noble life here and there from other POVs, but it was high fantasy so it didn't have to be as batshit interconnected and nuanced as real history. gods this, magic that and the author could handwave some issues.
