Yes. 1000% YES. THEY LOST HARD! The plan relied on Kenjacku ultimately, and he got defeated by the FUNNIEST. He either actually died or lived but decided he'd rather be funny man's sidekick than an edgelord.

You mean in Shibuya or in the very end? Now that Gojo is dead the curses overpower the jujutsushi so overall the sorcerers and humans are fucked

I never really even understood why curses had sentience. It seemed dumb. Theyre a man made construct

You're a man made construct too when you think about it. Would you say that you're not really intelligent? Oh. Oh! I see your point.

I still can't believe the guy who taught Sukuna the live forever technique didn't have any insurance using that technique.

Kekaku isn't dead. He's been brainwashed to become a comedian so he's dead only inside.

I thought that was a weird clone? If it's the original I'd be happy, even if he's dead inside.

>Did the curses really lose?
No, even though there was very clearly a possibility of curses being "Solved" in the form of characters like Yuki, those efforts go nowhere. Shibuya exposes curses/cursed energy to the outside world, the following conflict kills Yuki and Gojo (The two biggest threats to cursekind) and the ending is just the status quo being preserved. The goal of the disaster curses (Except Mahito) was to secure a future for curses and ensure their survival, and they pretty much succeeded completely at that. Even though it came at the cost of his life, Jogo is ironically one of the only villains in the story who actually completes his goals and effectively wins. He was truly the selfless hero of cursebros.

He is definitely dead. His head is gone and his body got eaten by Rika. It's some kind of construct or clone.

The never had a chance to win in the beginning.
Their existence is linked to negative human emotions and only human emotions.
The scale differs between strong individual negative emotions and collective subconscious of groups up the whole of humanity.
Yet it is always human emotions.
They could have never wiped out humanity and replaced it as it would have been an automatic instant self genocide for them.
That is why they curses group were dumb shits and anyone who did not realise this as well was dumb shit as well.

The goal of the Disaster Curses and especially Jogo was to supplant Humankind as the true humans. He failed.

>the ending is just the status quo being preserved.
The ending is that the system changes from the ground up. Person by person Yuji improves their karma bit by bit.
Hence this page of Yuji repeating Gojo's last words to this curse user. That's also why Sukuna's final cursed object is now cleansed and does the opposite and wards off curse spirits.

From an individual perspective things changed for the better, but from a broad perspective the system hasn't changed at all. Curses still exist and cursed energy still exists. Geto's entire character was dedicated to explaining how dogshit the cycle Jujutsu Sorcerers have to live in is. His and Yuki's views of finding a way to end that cycle instead of continuing it were a big reason why a lot of people thought the manga was gonna end with CE being abolished in some way. Instead nothing like that happens and we just see the young generation of sorcerers inherit the same work of their predecessors. Sure Yuji and his crew might do it in a better, safer and more ethical way, but it doesn't change the fact that the cycle will continue. People will generate negative energy, curses will be born, curses will kill people, and Jujutsu Sorcerers will be stuck selflessly pitting their lives against curses with no end in sight. All Yuji amounts to is a cog perpetuating the cycle, a shiny well-oiled and efficient cog, but a cog nonetheless.
