The latest ch is the most pirate-esque One Piece has felt in idk how long. It used to be a pirate story that happened to have fantasy and supernatural elements in it. Now it feels like a full-on fantasy story that just happens to have pirates in it. Oda really needs to bring back the pirate feel. The final main battle of the whole story should be a classic large-scale naval war between ships, not just another Luffy 'Super Saiyan'-style Shonen showdown.

Man I haven't read the manga in like 6 months or something. It's been feeling like sloppy concept art for the anime for years now and I don't have much faith in Oda anymore. But I'm still invested so I'll probably get into it again.

I haven't read the manga since they were fighting that "lightning god". Is the anime and good to watch?
