The anime flopped in Japan and it still gave a boost to part 2’s first 2 volume sales which were the highest in the series. Now Imagine if the anime was good, CSM s1 was mishandled hard. I hope the movie is good and doesn’t butcher bomb girl

The anime was fine for the most part. There's a discussion to be had on whether it fits the manga's tone or not but, looking at it on its own merits, it's a good season for what it is
Part 2 on the other hand is just straight-up awful in a way that is far more damaging than the anime ever could have been
