What happened?
>>280773507 (OP)/v/
I didn't even know there was a game.
>>280773507 (OP)This is what will happen to the Steins;Trash remake when it eventually comes out
Are all articles nowadays prefaced with how you should feel about the topic?
>>280773507 (OP)Why is it whenever an anime game comes out they’re always a fighting game, an RPG, or a visual novel?
>>280773565I'm from the future, and the REBOOT you're speaking of gets a 100% on metacritic. Overwhelmingly positive reviews on all fronts .
>>280773566The only people who read these game news websites are boomers who remember the cutout section of the paper about retro shooters and autistic children.
Who cares about the game? It was DOA. The only thing that matters is if Togashi will be back.

ps2 online games have better connection
>>280773566Yes because people are more likely to ignore them otherwise
Who the hell plays fighting games on PC. Sounds like a /v/ shitpost.
>>280773507 (OP)HxH might have the worst power system of all battle shounens, so it makes sense.
As someone who wasn’t paying attention when Hunted 2011 came out, what exactly is HXH popularity in the west? I think I have a good gist of its Japanese popularity. Every new volume sells very well, and Togashi is pretty respected, along with massive goodwill from YYH. But outside of this site I see barely any discussion for the new manga chapters in English speaking spaces.
And Hunter wasn’t there to get Big 3 level relevance in the west, but based off MAL and every other major anime site the anime is both highly popular and highly rated.
Like, if HXH anime came back within the next 5 years , could it have a DandaDan, Frieren, JJK, Bleach final season, level hype and discussion?
>>280774119How? The power system is literally just “any power but with bullshit fake limitations and rules”. Something like Fire Force is easily worse.
>>280774146HxH has notoriety for sure, but the hiatuses and lesser exposure means it’s not high on the priority list for merchandise or games. No doubt Bushiroad sprung for the IP because it’s owned by Togashi and not Jump itself, seeing as how Namco otherwise has a massive monopoly on licensed games. If I had to rank it as far as Shueisha properties go overseas, I’d argue within the 20s.
>>280774146>Like, if HXH anime came back within the next 5 years , could it have a DandaDan, Frieren, JJK, Bleach final season, level hype and discussion?Literally everyone has seen HxH 2011 at this point and it's one of the most popular/highest rated anime on Western sites, so yeah.
>>280773507 (OP)That shit has no fans outsife a few esoteric oldfags. They keep lying to Togashi about the popularity to keep him happy. Maybe the propagandists started believing in their own propaganda? Happens all the time with disastrous results.
>>280773507 (OP)Its low budget ToD kusoge
They should just make the dark continent an open world vidya at this point.
>>280775078ngl that's not actually a bad idea
>>280773507 (OP)piracy and that has to compete with games was more complex and interesint like tekken
>>280774146Every new gen that reads/watches it seems to really like it, the problem is that as more time goes on between chapters and as the 2011 only gets older and older, there's not enough new content to bring in new readers and keep oldfags interested. Compared to KnY and JJK the 2011 anime isn't anything special to Gen Alpha and young zoomers, either. There's a constant influx of solid manga/anime and people's attention spans are shorter than ever. At this rate this story will just slowly bleed out readers unless Togashi hires someone else to do the art or actually steps up and releases chapters at a regular interval.
>>280773507 (OP)>shockingly poor startI'm more shocked that there are people in this earth that thought a low budget kusoge would sell well.
>>280773507 (OP)Well was it good at least?
>>280775272I genuinely don’t get it either. A new Hunter volume will sell 500k+, and no one will be talking about the new chapters as much as ongoing series that sell 100k-400k volumes. Is there just some dedicated group of older Japs that suddenly reappear whenever Togashi releases a volume?
>>280773507 (OP)>4 (FOUR) new characters in a yearFuck crapcom and SF6 for normalizing shit like this
>>280775331Sunk cost? At this point it’s more a communal thing than an active series that people are hungry for updates for. Maybe it’s because the older fans aren’t likely to be actively following modern manga, but they’re coming out of the woods to see a new update from something they’ve been following for so long.
>>280773507 (OP)People still care about Hiatus x Hiatus? I cared back in 2011. There hasn't been a new DQ game in 8 years, so what's his excuse? just have someone else draw it and Togashi do the story. At this rate he'll die, like Miura, and the only one who might know how the story might end is his wife.
HunterXHunter will bring casuals back easily if they just redo the anime again. By the time Togashi finishes the current arc it will at least be 20 years since the airing of the last adaption. Even if 2011 has aged well, it’s more than enough time. Hell, there was only 12 years between the first adaption and 2011.
>they didn’t do that for Bleach
Before the blood war anime
the last Bleach episode was only a decade ago, not possibly 20 years like Hunter may end up
