After seeing the absolute trash-fire that is Super, this series now seems a lot better in hindsight.

There was an honest effort to make villains that would make sense given the previous story.
I always thought Baby was an honestly good idea and a good moment to make a definitive ssj appear, and that the evil dragons would have been a fitting conclusion.
The whole idea of nerfing goku by making him a child is kinda stupid, but better executed than in Daima, where they had to introduce stupid concepts (air makes it difficult to fly?) to nerf him even further.
I also generally enjoyed the "adventure in space" vibe of the first part, I just wish it was executed better.

Correct, GT is the last good Dragon Ball series.

Goku being a child is based for ShotaGODs, which DB was made for in the first place.
The adventure was executed better than in both FLOPma and in the adventureless Super too.
