It's been 30 years. Has Heero grown on you yet?

Actually I'm rewatching it and I have to confess, I've been cheering for weirdo mask man. His dudes keep getting wrecked by superior technology and he's trying to repair a old ass suit to fight back and somehow he's the antagonist.

Damn, his character development wasn't enough? I'm honestly having a hard time with him so far. Certainly not as annoying a Judau tho.

He made a good impression on me. He is not the best anime character, but he's miles better than any protag on toonami back then. He's a bigger badass than flat characters like GI Joe since he and the other four actually kill people.

Zechs, the weirdo mask person, is amazing. He fights smart most of the time

I hope he wins and gets saber-tapped by Noin nightly.

Does SEED happen before W in the ultimate timeline? W has super humans too.

I don't remember Heero ever getting any form of development. From what I remember, everyone just either ignores his autism, learns to live with it or is never around him long enough to have to deal with it

Yes. But the person that's really grown on me this rewatch is Lady Une. She really steals the show during the first space arc, and in many ways it's the must central character in the first half of the series

I'm only on 5 so far in my rewatch after 25 years but she's fun so far. Not sure why Treize gave his orders from a bubble bath.

>I don't remember Heero ever getting any form of development.
He learns how to human better later on in the series. He's still the same Heero on the outside but by the end he learns to trust his teammates much more and can even see their strengths better than they themselves can (thinking about Quatre and giving him the Zero System). Also Heero always got along well with Trowa since they first met, they think very similarly and even do the same plan at the same time working independently of each other in the Endless Waltz movie. Also he spends the entire series getting to understand Relena and her perspective, choosing at the last moment to not assassinate her, and then climaxing at the end with him saving her life by sending her away from Libra station, symbolic of him letting go of his own ambition and his original mission to embrace an ideal higher and bigger than himself. ALSO not to mention in the Endless Waltz movie we find out about his tragic past and why he does what he does.

Finished 6 and I'm starting to get it. I'm starting to ship Releena/Heero. In that order.
