>>280818770Gen essentially means product/birth/origin. Way back in the day people would say “I am of gens Fabia”, basically meaning that one was a product or birth of this lineage Fabia. It indicates “stock”.
Genus, genital, gender, generate (create/birth), generation, geneology, genes/genetic all denotes birth, lineage and stock. The “male gender” is just a way of saying of the male “stock”, and would suggest that you would likewise have the male stock’s “genitalia” i.e. the parts of the male stock. It’s equivalent to describing the type of screwdriver you need (of the flat head “stock”). Not what you wish or identify as. If you are “identifying” as the Male stock, you need to at least have the “male parts” otherwise it’s just a plain lie. Like saying you’re a flathead while being a Phillips screw driver, you are not the stock/type/kind for the job.
