There's a pretty simple throughline in pre-history that makes it into myth and our stories.
The tribe appreciates the delusionally self sacrificing. The tribe will literally come together to kill anyone delusionally selfish.
The fundamental problem with weathering is the quiet resignation of the tribe. At least shit like >>280818722 the death inflicted on innocents can't be visited back on the main characters because it's essentially anonymous. Not so in weathering.

What are you talking about? Why would the public even know about Hina, let alone blame her? And in Fate, it was Sakura herself who was killing innocents and Shirou chose to save her over countless others. In Tenki no Ko, Hina was just an innocent girl chosen as a sacrifice and they ended a system that was constantly sacrificing innocent girls for the comfort of society.
