After this week's chapter folks are complaining about nepotism being a major factor in the story, it most certainly helps, but it isn't everything.

Hiyori isn't shit wholesale, and Momo has no training with the adult body. Also their grandfather was was good craftsman, but didn't have much battle prowess nor did he educate anyone on the craft.

None of Big Mom's kids are really that out there aside from maybe Katakuri and Cracker.

His parents were normal doctors, he climbed up on his own, and fell because he didn't have man power.

Irrelevant. When that kind of words were said in the end of an arc, after the villain and their ideal was defeated, then it means it was the ideal that won the day and thus, the ideal that good guys fought for.

The only reasoning (cope) I'm willing to take is that the straw hats were not there when Hiyori said it and so they couldn't give the appropriate rebuttal. Plausibe fanfic, but fanfic nonetheless.

It makes sense if you're not low IQ. One Piece, since pre time skip, established that the show was about passing down your will to a new generation. The ones with the greatest wills of their generation would naturally be high achievers and people who accomplished a lot in their time.

Passing down your will has never been tied to genetics in One Piece though, and that still holds true in post-TS. Blackbeard and Momonosuke are probably the only sons who carry the will of their fathers, atleast off my memory.
