Does it hold up? Thoughts on SAO as a franchise? Favorite installment?
>>280858650 (OP)I really liked Season 2 with GGO and Mother's Rosario.
>>280858650 (OP)first 14 eps are 10/10 masterpiece, and the rest makes it a 9/10. it's overhated, that's for sure and it even mogs frieren by a fat margin. i just hope there would've more of aincard...
>>280860471They should've gone for a full Progressive adaptation. I really liked what I read of the manga. Still need to catch the movies.
>>280858650 (OP)It's a very fun and enjoyable show despite iut's flaws. It's got great action here and there. I strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it.
reminder that Sword Art Online takes place three years ago
>>280863995If we weren't hampered by ethics I'm sure we would have had Neuralink 10 years ago
>>280858650 (OP)I watched it for awhile. It does some things right, but sabotages itself just as often. It feels like the author barely has a long-term plan and just makes shit up as he goes.
It was bad the first time. They are ALL bad. There is not a single episode that is "good". You can look at the first half of season one and be like "I enjoy this, in a trash TV sort of way. I know I shouldn't like it but I kind of do."
After the story actually kicks off though? No.
It's not even good in a self-insert wish-fulfillment slop sort of way. It's just a garbage show for children that have never seen anything like it before. If you are 13 and it is your first anime, go ahead bud. Have fun.
