I am more angry with Ace's look in the new art style. He looks just like Roger despite the fact he actually had his mother's face.

this image is spammed a lot but the real answer is that left roger is the version of him pushed to the planet by the marines and the general pirate world mythos, and right roger is the version that actually existed in the world

I believe both images represent the real Roger in different moments of his life. He, much like Whitebeard, was young and healthy in the right column, and old and sickly on the left. Also, artstyle is an important yet overlooked part of a character's design.
