I just rewatched Steins;Gate last week, then remember about Steins;Gate 0, watched it, watched the END and I've basically been coping with the fact that there's nothing more worthwhile in the series.
It even made me check the fanfiction scene, even though I know there's a 0% chance anyone could replicate the same feeling.

Also just checked the archive and I noticed the weird steins;gate hate threads started around 2020.

Love this series. I'm a tourist on this board representing /fit/. Why's it hated? Every character is memorable and nice and the plot is good.
