To me, finding out the specific details of how to exorcise the spirits doesn't really change much once it's been revealed that they are spirits (as opposed to aliens or whatever). And the specifics of it do raise some additional questions. Namely, how did Ryota know that? I agree on the foreshadowing part, though.

These aren't really at odds. Death is associated with spiritual impurity. So spirits of the dead being involved in and placated by something gory makes sense.
And most horror manga I've read have spirits doing pretty brutal stuff.

I dont normally Like horror but I did check out this thought it would be more mystery then horror. That must mean something good for the series since im still reading it.
