Most of the negative reactions I see here to manga endings are due to personal reasons.

People read a work with their asses, expect something, get something else, and then complain.

>Why didn't this manga, whose MC spent 99% of the time making bad decisions, end with the MC in a good place?

>Why didn't this manga, whose MC never cared about power and glory, end with the MC full of power and glory?

>Why wasn't there a wedding at the end of this action manga?

It's never an artistic issue, like poor pacing or a lack of internal logic. It's always personal.

It seems that a Naruto-style conclusion is the only acceptable one.

There are plenty of reasons. You just choose to ignore those and whine about the low hanging fruit reasons.

Name 10 manga with good endings. Everyone knows Jap bugmen can't write endings for shit and you're coping insanely hard if you think otherwise. There's no "artistic value" in reddittier depression endings in most cases the author ends it like shit because they never knew how to write to begin with. Case in point from recent days. Oshi no ko, Call of the night, MHA, JJK. The only manga with a semi decent ending recently is Noragami.

Please, please, don't question the narrative

if you write a chapter a week instead of all at once you can't go back and chance things to make an ending work

the end

Good authors should be plotting the begging middle and end before it even hits production thoughbeit

For me itโ€™s when short lived manga get cancelled and they use the few chapters left to speedrun several arcs of ideas they wanted to do.

>why DID this manga, whose MC never cared about 3DPD, end with 3DPD winning?
