Nerve gas and other airborne toxins usually don't just work over the respiratory system, but also skin contact.
She is literally the person with the highest skin surface area uncovered and immediate contact with the gas.

I like how you can obviously tell how increasingly angry Hori gets whenever somebody mentions Kaminari should be like 100x stronger for like the billionth time over the course of the series. At first Kaminari was likely to be the 4th strongest student under Deku Todoroki and Bakugo, but by this point you and the rest of the fans should be convinced he can easily beat Deku and honestly even Bakugo just based off of quirk diff. Then he drops down under IIda, then Tokoyami, then Kirishima, Ashido, Jirou, Uraraka, etc etc and then now suddenly he's literally the 2nd lowest ranked hero in 1-A only beating Mineta who's probably off of rape charges.

Nta but gas seems like a pretty doodoo idea anyway because she would have very little control over where it goes. She could theoretically make inert substances that can be combined into more volatile stuff though. She can totally make bank though if she makes drug and rare earth metal.
