Iirc there was definitely Yuri OVAs and movies last year along with gushing over magical girls. I also said generally. As in the average if you go back the last decade you'll have multiple shows per year. I definitely think alot of it has to do with Citrus being animated as well. Yuri as a genre picked up when that manga became popular. Then as an anime it repeated history.
