It used to air on cable a lot, but I don't remember seeing it on video until very recently. Apparently it was originally licensed by Streamline Pictures, and it's a similar story with the rest of their stuff. I don't remember ever seeing Vampire Hunter D, Megazone 23, or even Robotech at Blockbuster, but I saw them on TV all the time. Looks like they were just inept at releasing things on video, which meant word didn't spread around from kids lending out their DVDs to one another.
