>>280911243>isn't photography just some minuscule thing that barely appears? It’s like 40% of the manga.
>It's not like a manga about making manga, painting, rakugo, drum making, etc. It's just a quirk one of the character has and that's itIt’s not really a quirk. The story does dive into some details about astrophotography that shows the author has done her research but it’s not a complete how to guide. Almost all the big trips and excursions in the story revolve around photography. I think you might benefit from a reread.
>but from the moment they confess to each other and start dating, basically nothing happensThis is false, the plot focuses how they navigate being a couple with one of the person having an “illness”. One of the major conflicts between them was Isaki didn’t want to be treated like glass but the more Ganta learned about her, the more he started to be more like her parents because of his worries and love for her, which made him go against the reasons she fell for him in the first place. There’s a couple more elements that drives the story forward past the confession but that’s one of the main ones.
>She has some health issues, some clash with their parents, and that's it.They don’t clash with their parents after the confession, Isaki’s relationship with her parents improved. Ganta only had issues with his mom which his dad helped reassure him later on. A lot of the focus is putting them into situations that highlights how stressful it can be being a couple with someone who has a condition like Isaki.
>They just stay the same even even after realizing one or two things about themselvesNot really. They had growth, particularly near the end. They certainly aren’t the same people at the beginning of the manga.
>praise it as if their heart strings were touched by this... is beyond me.I don’t know about others, I like it mainly due to how it handles its themes and romance.
