Should have gotten real Nube fans instead of paint-by-numbers artists to get it to this level.

Also Japan disagrees with you(judging from Xwitter reactions).

The animation this episode was really, really good.
I mean, it's always been really good with this series but even with a full-on CGI fight between buddha and the mecha-castle the CGI animation was some of the best I've seen in anime.

I'm not super surprised by the good CGI, WIT's been leading the pack in that regard for years outside of arguably Orange, but it's still great to see such a well-made, well-animated show, especially one with so many episodes.

Yaiba airs in the morning alongside Detective Conan (which has a similar sliding technology timeline, from fax machines all the way to modern smart phones), and it's not a period piece. Technology is irrelevant to Yaiba.
If you do consider its placement in time important, then smartphones have an even greater justification for being there- Yaiba is set only a couple years prior to Detective Conan.

I just want to say, whoever works on this show, they remind me of the better times, when anime was FUN. When you didn't have an entire committee of "think of overseas audience" cucks, when anime was just a thing in itself, not beholden to market research or trend analysis or what have you. (I know this was always a thing, don't ruin my pink glasses)
I don't know if this is the last show there japanese do their WJT or not but I'm glad for this show's existence every week.
