Plus NP aside, Kojiro IS kind of a dinky servant. The VN makes it clear several times that he benefits to an incredible degree from the ryuudouu temple's design since any place that isn't the stairs gives servants cancer and the stairs themselves are steep enough that it's incredibly difficult to do anything if you're the one trying to get into the temple rather than the one guarding the temple on the high ground.
