Why does shoujo get the best sakuga?

It's a Hajime no Ippo reference.

I wish I could say that this is only impressive because they knew how to center and frame a shot but the sad truth is that's become a rare skill.

I feel like this should be obvious but generally when you see a shot like that it's not meant to be inferred as happening in perfect real time. It's framed for drama.

Would any of those attacks that aren't in the face even make a difference considering that they are wearing armor?

I hate how weightless this looks. Why even give them armor, if you're going to just act like it's not there?

This is above par given the state of the industry but I wouldn't call it sakuga.

This happens in almost every anime with armor. Arrows and swords go straight through it like there's nothing.

sounds plausible

If you're strong enough to wear armor like that at all then it's not going to "with you down" and stop you from moving around how you want, but only tire you out quicker by making your muscles work harder for the same movement

Plate armour and all that goes beneath it is heavy, yes, but weight is balanced. So as long as it's properly fitted, you have almost the same freedom of movement.
The weird part is them punching that chest armour. It's not supposed to do anything due to solid padding behind it.

White bro tanked a punch to the jaw from brown bro who a few moments later caves in plate armour with his fist.

Yes, and this has nothing to do with them wearing armour.
