If you had no problem with the story like a good chunk of anons here, it definitely is. It's a near 1:1 adaptation of the manga with cinema tier production quality and a great soundtrack. It's hard to believe this was the studio's debut project.

I liked the original story. So a near 1:1 sounds amazing.

I knew this was gonna go nowhere and any resolution would be unsatisfying and unearned but I stuck around because it was just 6 eps. Good production quality, slop writing as expected.

I binge watched the entire show 2 days ago and I have had a pit in my stomach since then, this finale was so satisfying that it really eased me.

Was she going to kill herself before the last takopi time reset? It certainly felt like that with the ost and aimlessly walking around town with takopi and spending the only resource she had left on the bride slices.

What I didn't understand, in the original timeline, takopi sees marina first, and she's upset because shizuka takes her bf.
But, without takopi's interference shizuka would've killed herself, so how is she alive in the original timeline? Did I miss something?

Shizuka's original suicide was a failure because she didn't have an 'unbreakable rope' i.e. the friendship string that Takopi gave her in the new timeline. Seems she didn't have the courage to attempt another suicide, which is pretty common.

Did they actually show this part or was it only implied? It's been ages since I've read the manga and I vaguely remember it being actually depicted but it wasn't in the anime.

I think they briefly mentioned that Shizuka failed a suicide attempt in the 2022 timeline in the anime

They did in episode 5, yes. But I vaguely remember there being a full scene paralleling the first suicide scene but with a normal rope instead of the happy one, showing Shizuka on the floor after the rope broke. Maybe the octopus is fucking with my memories too, idk.
