I get your point but also I'm looking forward to Jigokuraku S2. Usually when I see a chart of shows for the next season it feels like at least a third of it are continuous seasons to shows I never watched.

Pipeline is just in reference to the Kadokawa WN -> LN -> Manga -> Anime pipeline.
That specifically has anime announced months (if not a full year) in advance simply because Kadokawa has a hand in all stages of production since they own all stages of production with those works.
