There are more muslim countries that restrict/ban hijab wearing than there are ones making it mandatory and Iran stopped enforcing the mandatory law because of the protests

I don't think so, i don't see christians forming organizations to make terrorist attacks.
I live in a country full of muslisms and i don't see their women without a hijab or their men skipping meca the way christians skip sunday church

is it a muslim country or a country full of muslims? because you get a minority effect where people go out of their way to be extra when they aren't the norm, their identity becomes more of a performance, see the English in Spain for example, St George flags everywhere. also 2nd and 3rd generation immigrant are MORE militant than their parents were even in their home country(see all the thousands of isis fighters from europe)

The USA financed pretty much every modern middle-eastern "revolution" there is, and they all ended with mostly stable states giving birth to islamic bullshit instead. Most of it kickstarting the massive immigration waves that we know of today, because as "corrupt" as were the former states, they did control most of their frontiers and kept in check the unruly states around them.

Country full of muslims.
But comparing national pride with religion is not fair.
I don't buy the idea that their identity is a performance, if that was the case, their people back in their homeland would be super liberal in comparison.

im saying their religion becomes a larger part of their identity, its magnified, not that they're pretending. being super liberal would be a 180 flip. you can look up pew research centre on second generation muslims in non muslim countries, they are far more anti gay/women's rights/pro terrorism than muslim in their originating countries

The US and her allies spent most of the late 20th and early 21st centuries funding and supporting fundamentalist/extremist religious groups in the Middle East, Asia, and South America. They did this to destabilise developing nations who were getting too buddy-buddy with the Soviets or China, and usually it caused a complete crash in economic growth and freedoms.

Famously Al Qaeda was the darling of the US security state until they turned around and declared war on the former masters who put them in power.

I'm Tunisian born in the UK and when I go to Tunisia barely anyone wears a hijab, young people do drugs, no one really gives a shit about Islam except some old boomers. I'm actually more afraid to criticize Islam in the UK than I am there.

Muslim here. This isn’t something that is forced. Well it depends on the region. Saudi Arabia is mostly hijab but it’s become secular and westernized so they don’t really enforce it. Qatar is the same. Lebanon is secular and has a lot of Christian’s. Palestine isn’t secular but it’s not harsh. I’ve been to the West Bank and I’ve seen hijabs and girls wearing normal clothes(not skirts and sleeveless stuff). It’s Pakistan and Afghanistan that’s the big issue. Plus Africa.

my friend is an assyrian that had to flee because of them. They disarmed his town and gave their weapons to Kurds when isis was approaching. After all the assyrians fled or got killed by isis they conquered it from isis and moved Kurds into their houses. Now they say this town has always belonged to them for thousands of years and when assyrians try to come back they start shooting at them
