Somehow this manga the appreoch of this series to humor based on nowaday's mundane internet bullshit is refreshing. Maybe because in other manga even when the authors are clearly familiar with the subject, they only stay surface level (aside maybe for a one-panel specific reference) and avoid building too much on it, maybe in other to avoid losing relatability.
This manga instead really doesn't care much about that and it assumes you're already familiar with the context, while at the same time clearly painting the picture since it's used to build the very plot of the episode.
The social context age of the readership have shifted so the latter is probably the right approach, I wonder if the fact you don't see this style everywhere is probably due to the "lagging" age of most mangaka. Generational friction.
