It's approaching almost 30 years of continuous dogshit now. Could you even imagine meeting someone who would tell you they've followed One Piece from start to now and still enjoy it? It's borderline a humiliation fetish at that point, to have such low self worth you degrade yourself by consciously choosing to spend the limited time you have on this Earth gorging on the visual/literary equivalent of expired cow sperm.

And no I have not watched a single episode or read a single page.

I've been following since 2003 and while I definitely don't enjoy it as much as I used to there's still cool stuff here and there, especially now that we're getting a lot of reveals.

It's insane that despite Dragon Ball's reputation for dragging on, One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach all lasted longer manga-wise

>Dragon Ball: 519 chapters
>One Piece: 1157 chapters and still going
>Naruto: 700 chapters
>Bleach: 698 chapters

Post-TS was good before Wano. WCI is easily a top 5 One Piece arc. It's from Wano when things started to go downhill.

Egghead was quite literally a top 3 One Piece arc.

WCI was an uptick but both Dressrosa and Wano surrounding it weren't very good.

Things went downhill exactly at the end of wholecake but the arcs prior had their problems wholecake was enjoyable but i don't see how it's any better than wano from this aspect.

The only good thing about WCI is that it's different, that's all, it has all the problems a post time skip one piece arc has and more.

No. Timeskip was mediocre until Whole Cake and it's been pretty good ever since. Even Wano with all its flaws is better than any pre-TS arc before it. And post-Wano has been consistently enjoyable.

egghead was fine as far as arcs go but it makes people think that is was much better than it was by being one of the first post timeskip arcs to have actual plot progression

Are you surprised at how many story arcs a 1000+ chapter series has?

There really hasn't been that many arcs in the New World has there, they've just been bloated to hell. If the arcs in this final saga last about as long as Egghead then this final saga might kind of be a return to pre-TS style sagas.

The plot of Egghead is Vegapunk asking Luffy to risk his life for him despite always being able to safely escape on his own. Fuck that arc.

I always used to associate the word saga with DBZ but at some point people started using it for One Piece too. I always just considered each arc its own arc. Though obviously some are connected like Jaya and Skypeia.
