Imagine growing up and your favorite super hero is Spider-Man or something
Then you just watch him get ripped in half and eaten by the hulk on live TV as everyone cheers and people tell you "lighten up, it's just the Olympics"
That's how I feel when I see fans from different countries in the stands cheering for their national heroes only for them to all violently die

So they had the Headquarters destroyed and left Mantaro and the others to fight the "Remnants", where they have more control of just how many are left narratively.

The other is a formal faction that a bunch of Brutal Choujin formed, that later got folded into the dMp (Ramenman mentioned he was still a member pretty late into the original series).

>>281208229Given everything we know about what happened, Toei almost certainly animated Nisei entirely because they knew 4kids were interested in the Kinnikuman IP. The biggest piece of evidence is that the first season ends, not only on a cliffhanger, but on a cliffhanger in the middle of a filler arc (so it wasn't even a case of them catching up to the manga and being forced to abruptly end the story in a weird spot, they actively chose to do a filler arc that would take more episodes to animate than they had). That's not something anime really do normally, due to the way Japanese anime funding works.
It's something that only really makes sense if they were specifically trying to bait 4kids into ordering more of it from the beginning.
>>281208666I have to say there's definitely a tone difference after the whole fire-lantern fights. The amount of on-screen death has skyrocketed this arc, it feels the amount of dick/sex jokes has gone up a lot too.

I think the only real downside is that he doesn't get to meet Warsman properly again and conclude that subplot.
>>281206353At least his whore ex is no longer with Paul and he told her and the alien whore to fuck off
>>281206295Have you read Spider-Man comics in the last 20 years? That would be a kindness
>>281207041Carnage literally can't die and now him and Cletus are both separate evil serial killing symbiotes

>>281206591>Crawdad took a hostage>Checkmate hit a kid>Purikuran instantly killed multiple civilians as collateral damage while being gaslit by his fans to feel no remorseNo, I still feel evil choujin are less brutal than this.
>>281209102Oh I know the content was a bit more raw because of that but I mean in general, the first few arcs were more violent/bloody/gory but it feels like with this arc they just went fuck it and are going all out with it and the adult humor.
>>281209143Makes sense. It's funny but what little i did watch of wrestling stopped with that move.
>>281207689Mantaro is also a teenager. Suguru is an adult man who while he wasn't used to fighting choujins hate fought Kaiju. And lost but still
>>281209676He actually can now, he's far weaker than he's been in a while now that he's forcefully bonded to Eddie Brock Don't ask because it's a level of retardation that makes the Nisei summaries back during the Revival Storytimes look like Shakespeare
>>281207911Also vtr had to literally edit reality to make it not land right. And then after that it just doesn't work anymore because.... It just doesn't ok
>>281207931So was literally everyone kinnikuman beat seething with rage over it except based warsman? And ramen man I guess.
>>281208905>>281209143There were 2 sides to ECW, the raunchy bloodshed and tits, and world-class wrestling prowess on the other
For every bloodbath of New Jack and Sandman, you had Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko making their U.S debut. For every Public Enemy, Mikey Whipreck and Tommy Dreamer, you had RVD, Jerry Lynn, Chris Jericho, Lucha Libre being introduced to the US thanks to Rey Mysterio & Psycosis, etc. There's a reason why McMahon and Bischoff kept poaching talent from ECW and leaving them on the back-foot, the raunchy shit draws attention but its the talent and 'rasslin that keeps it on the long run.
A lot of what is wrong with Nisei is the Yude duo never understanding that they took the wrong lessons from the post nWo/F.M.W/Attitude period of the late 90s

>>281208665>The revival storytime had plenty of Shivano jokes from Nisei>The Nisei storytime has perfect origin genocidal purging jokes from the revivalI can get used to this.
>>281210009I mean, the latter is a natural response to the unnecessary violence. Not only this is Brutal Chojin behaviour, its "force the gods to use caparilla rays AGAIN" Brutal Chojin-tier
>>281210045I know which is why I like it so much. It puts the revival in a much funnier perspective when the perfect choujin trying to kill the unworthy choujin were fully in the right.
>>281209850Where does somebody start with actual wrestling? Is there some sort of story to it?
>>281209845>except based warsmanOh boy are you in for a fun surprise
>>281210318Meanwhile in Revival's timeline...
I mean, considering Barracuda is literally the only frame of reference Warsman has about how someone is supposed to be trained, it could have been worse.
>>281210671now I feel like a retard for not noticing the Barracuda/Chloe thing
>>281205131>Mantaro fighting the Toilet Be honest. Do I need to keep reading this volume?
>>281211219Other than the weird fetish entrance, this fight so far hasn't been much worse than Benkiman's fight from the original. I am also going through this blind, so I tread these chapters in a constant state of fear, but the rest of this volume is relatively safe.
>>281206115>Harabote with a rare moment of clarity as he realizes everyone in this manga is insane
>>281208043Why? But why? Why do you enjoy making me suffer like this?
>>281211219I had to so you should too
>>281208081How big is Mantaro's cock? Surely somebody autistic enough has calculated his length and circumference by comparing it to his overall height.
I liked the other names, they were funny
>>281211219Next volume is the one with THAT scene, so be prepared. Though it should also be the one that introduces the hottest girl in Nisei as well, so there's one upside.
>untold amount of completely ludicrous violence from supposed heroes
>author blatantly use the fights as a way to show his disgusting fetishes
>NTR subplot for some reason
This feels like if /dbs/ wrote a manga.

I don't get why Yude wrote Mantaro like they did. It's like they wanted the Early Kinnikuman era where most people shit on Suguru while he was a goofy weakling, but kept it going far beyond a reasonable point. He does "Cowardly teen that suddenly gets brave and courageous by the end." Every arc, if not every fight.
it would even be so bad if the other New Gen characters besides him and Kevin got to shine. Anyone besides them is either a jobber or just doesn't get a fight at all.
and It's not just a Mantaro problem. Suguru for early parts of the revivial pissing and shitting himself in the manga was annoying too. I'm actually glad the anime version left that part of his freak outs in the dust.
>>281209037>not muscle sluggerONE JOB
>>281215036IMO Suguru still being a coward is somewhat fine, his whole thing is inspiring others and in turn they inspire him to get over his own cowardice. It fits the whole friendship power theme.
Mantaro's friendship feels more lacking because his allies are fucking useless and only support him with some cheering at the end of the arc. It feels like he's mostly won off his own grit and luck so resetting constantly seems weird.
>>281206984I'm glad Nisei carry the OG tradition of a choujin's greatest weakness being the most basic shitposting imaginable.
Thingman is still alive and floating in space btw
>>281216943Eventually, he stopped thinking
>>281215452>his allies are fucking useless and only support him with some cheering at the end of the arcThey all act like they can barely tolerate him just for saying "Hi!". Even Meat has his moments.
>>281214922I'll be annoyed about this until the day Kinnikuman ends, that would be the perfect culmination of both of their arcs.
>>281216943Can't he just fly back?
Like, why do choujin always forget that they can fly?

>>281210476Warsman having the best character arc in Revival, just to have his win against the Choushin reduced to a draw AND jobbing to Pessiman still drives me nuts. FUCK'S SAKE LET MY FUNNY CHROMED-UP RUSKIE BOY HAVE HIS MOMENT

>>281214532>Literally or figuratively?Literally. About 1/3 to half of the main mini event (all but like two fights) take place in a wrestling ring the rest was a shitty zombie apocalypse story right after Marvel had a Vampire apocalypse event. Hell even Spiderman gets back to his roots and has a few fights.
It's okay not great but not offensive. Entire event feels like Al Ewing the writer was trying to practice his fight writing, most of his Venom run was a lot of weird mystical shit and it ruled even if it's base was absolute dumbass dogshit the previous writer left him
>>281204705>Note: Rs in Brazilian are pronounced like H, so it's HicardoHmm, yes. I think you may have missed an R in there.
>>281210476>>281222460Sorry, but it's literally within Warsman's contract. He will have the best arc but to compensate he must also job.
>>281228115But did he need the push of his farts?
>>281228115Here's a good time to remind you all that Spiderman, Kamen Rider, Batman and Ultraman are listed as champions of the Choujin Olympics
Hell, Spiderman made a small cameo in the first episode of the 80s anime... having a back injury so he couldn't answer the SDF's calls for a choujin hero, so they had to resort to Suguru
Even in other works, Parker gets no respect
>>281228704Fuck that Spiderman/Ultraman crossover that's happening/happened give me Spiderman/Kinnikuman
