>>281215720I know there was a time when I was intensely focused on ensuring a show had appealing aesthetics when I watched it, but it was so long ago that I can't even imagine disliking Kaiji's art style (though I'm sure I did at one point).
Honestly, limiting yourself based on aesthetic in a visual medium is a bit sad to me. I know I did it because I wanted characters I could get off to, and I can't imagine limiting yourself just for that or some other base-level appeal.
It'd be like appreciating art and getting put off by works of abstract art or works that express verisimilitude.
