I knew nothing about Blue Archive coming into the anime besides seeing and liking some of the character designs.

Worldbuilding was terrible and impenetrable to an outsider. Where do these women come from and where do the go when they age out of high school? What is a "mystic" and why does having the "strongest" mean? Is there a limit to the size of the city? I can appreciate a mysterious setting when it serves the story (like Big O), but this felt like they didn't try to fill in the details instead of building a mystery.

Story was okay. Kinda interesting layers of conspiracy and inter-school drama.

I don't like to throw "AI generated" around, but the character designs have that feel. Who designs kemonomini without tails, but then demon girls who have them? The world and NPCs are also super bland. I've seen game pics and fan art that give the mob girls lots of charm, but none of that here.

Action was bad.

The music was maybe the single worst aspect of the show. I've never watched an anime before where the music was distractingly bad. The ED was good though.

I really liked some of the characters, especially the dumb criminal gang. They made all of their episodes fun. But the ultimate villain was all-style-no-substance. As the only other outsider to this place beside Sensei, there was way more potential being a foil. But since Sensei has absolutely no depth, there's just kind of nothing.

At least the girls were cute and the criminals were fun. 3/5 show.

It was an ad for a gacha game that puts people on watchlists by default. It is kind of like how the Girls' Frontline anime may not get another season because parts of it were cheaply done such as the sound effects of the guns and because many people perceived it as an ad.
I did like the Girls' Frontline anime for the most part but it needed improvement. As for Blue Archive, it was ad and felt like one.

The anime was decent, but the thing is, you more than just decent, you need something more explosive, dynamic, more powerful.
Still, I believe the anime deserves a second chance, and if that happens, let's hope John Nexon adapts Trinity vs Arius, or the Millennium chapter, because those chapters are great, imagine Mika defeating all the ghosts of the sisterhood by herself, or Neru vs Power armor Toki, I want Millennium especially because I want to see more of my wife Akane animated

I don't know if it flopped or not, but personally, I didn't like it that much.

As most folks have already said, it adapted the first chapter of the Abydos saga, which isn't really that fun or exciting even in the game. It really picks up in the Trinity/Arius chapters.

Sensei is supposed to be this tactical genius and is able to provide proper strategies, but in the anime, it's like he's just trying his best to keep them from just blindly attacking like madmen. His "strategies" are pretty simple,which in turn, just makes the girls all the more idiotic.

Nah, Yuuka knows Sensei because she was one of the first students Sensei met, she helped him during the prologue of the story, along with Hasumi, Chinatsu and Suzumi. Chinatsu even makes a reference to that during the Abydos vs Gehenna episode.
