On an even more serious note, his name is るか.
"る" is romanized as "ru" not "lu" and "か" as "ka" so Ruka is correct but I too call him Luka and Lukako simply because that's how the translations go and I don't care, both work.

Lu and Ru are both acceptable romanizations of る. From the Japanese perspective Lu and Ru are the same. Names that clearly have an L in them like Cloud are transliterated as ku-ra-u-do. To be clear whether you write it as Luka or Ruka, you should be pronouncing it the same. That's the point of romanization, you're merely giving it one representation in English, and other representations can and do exist https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanization_of_Japanese
