>Synopsis

Spica Virgo is an apprentice witch, but can’t use any magic. She needs someone to be her master in order to get into the academy of her dreams, but she has no money and no connections. Suddenly, a mysterious talking black cat that can use magic appears before her!! Spica wants to learn magic, and the black cat wants his curse broken—goals on the same path. Therefore, a secret master-apprentice relationship was born! But the key to breaking the curse is kissing his…?! Doesn’t look terribly high quality. I knew this was getting an anime some months back, but I have to wonder how well the series is even doing. Not sure I’ve ever seen figures for it.

While I doubt it makes much of a difference, it’s more of a “doesn’t like guys flirting with her” sort of deal, besides one or two small moments. They aren’t really treated as love interests from what I can see. Romance in general takes a backburner.

He's talking about the funny rumor that Nagashii Kouhei, mangaka of Hoshino, Me o Tsubutte, was apparently mad butthurt that said manga was passed over for an anime adaptation in favor of Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet (the prior work of the Mangaka of Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu) so out of spite and in a temper tantrum, he gave his manga the shittiest ending possible.
