Honestly you couldn't write a more wholesome story and you can tell how hyped Izumi-sensei was to go see the production process while traveling from his home in the Okinawan hinterlands. Why is it always horror mangaka like him, Junji Ito, and Kazuo Umezu that end up being the nicest/most positive people IRL in contrast with what you'd expect from their work?
