Recently got to watching this after finishing first series, and by ep 5 I've got a mixed impression. It looks more detailed and designs are less toy-like (more plamo like). But exactly because it's more detailed it becomes hard to see what's going on sometimes. Doesn't help that half the enemies are red too and have similar heads despite them not being Rick Dias. Original being all clear and plain colours was more discernable.

I didn't like it at the start either. I felt that it was weird that everybody was hitting each other but after watching it for a bit ended up adoring it and thinking all the punching was hilarious. Maybe you'll like it too.

The response was logical in my opinion.

Titans were kind of justified in acting that way towards Kamille. He basically stole a fighter jet and assisted terrorist organization that killed dozens of soldiers in their colony after his (implied to be powerful/influential) parents pulled enough strings to pardon him.

Brushing that aside, I think they are earthlings discriminatory towards spacenoids. And a lot of people do act cartoonishly evil towards minorities when they have the opportunity to do so. Think about how Israelis don't treat Palestinians like Israelis and you'd get the picture. Any violation they commit warrants excessive disproportionate punishment of any kind.

0079 is trash. It's horribly drawn even for its age, the pacing is schizophrenic, and the plot doesn't get good until the last third. Zeta is better.
