Vampire family wants to spare their daughter that is pseudo human from sadness of being able to live their life together even if the time they can meet per day is only short (totally not normal) by wiping her memory of them and making her think she is an orphan that lost all her family, because that is so much better.

At best you could say the family was selfish and tried to distance themselves from her to not see her age and die in a humans lifetime.
Yet they pretended it was for her and not for them.
Hell most people rarely see their family after a certain age unless they work in a family business or so,but for those fuckers the overlapping wake evening/night hours of a human to the wake evening/night hours of their vampire life's were not good enough.

Then this plot bullshit of the big brother preparing the mind wipe for a long time with hitting her head, when they didn't even know why she was different, what she is or that she would essentially lose her remaining (reverse) vampiric traits.

Honestly I would have gone and killed her family myself after this bullshit they pulled.

The ending was forced drama. There was no particular reason they had to mindwipe her, and the face that they all ended up keeping a lookout over her after the fact proves it. The family suffered because of some sort self-imposed rule of not meeting her, she suffers sure to fake memories that her family is dead.
