While most would encourage you to watch 0079 first (the original) I am tempted to advise you to watch them in American Toonami release order. Gundam never would have gotten outside of Japan without Gundam Wing capturing our imaginations. The show is clunky as fuck but it still has a lot of things to say that are super relevant to the current political climate.
