There's not even an oversaturation of isekai in the grand scheme of things when there's 3 per season tops out of a dozen shows, the romcom slop plague is far worse and with far dogshittier tropes that reach telenovela levels of slop.

Since isekai tends to include battle harem all the time, one could say that the battle harem trope remains popular.
Of course, now chicks that can fight to a certain degree will always be associated with fantasy and isekai.

Meh, when the writing is good the isekai genre can produce gems.
The problems is that the Lows are lower than the worst slops and the majority of the genre is filled with the lowest effort stories ever written in every single medium.
