Why is shoujo so shit?

Honestly, shoujo anime has one of the most impressive set of classics, and having men direct them made for a unique perspective.

All considered the most “mainstream” of shoujo by the way, this is why no other anime/manga genre besides battle shonen will ever appeal to normalfags, it is quite unironically all full of pedo diddy ahh propaganda, even at the stuff aimed at young girls.

It’s not really shoujo, it’s all other genres that aren’t battle shonen that are steeped in otaku tripe.

Also why no Hana Yori Dango on this list which is one of the few actual normal shoujos around?
