What is it with shoujo and the forced separation/break-up arc trope? Even Kimo wa Pet, which is a josei has the FemC decide in the last chapters right after they finally admit their mutual feelings that she's "not ready" to commit to the guy so he goes overseas for a long time just so they can reunite at the very end It's so pointless and dumb.
