It's more of a "our adventure is just getting started!" ending.

"our adventure is just getting started!" is usually 2-3 chapters tops with low or ambiguous stakes. This was almost an entire volume that felt like the start of a new arc.
I still found it enjoyable, but imo Ch 531 would've been a better ending point if there were no plans for a sequel, picrel feels like it'd be a far more impactful last page

534/535 is imo the best ending point
>Is basically an explanation of the last big unknown of the series regarding Baku and Souichi's relationship
>Explains how Baku knew about Souichi's echolocation cheat code, and even how he factored his memory wipes into the leap second keikaku
>533 already gave sufficient closure to Kaji & cie + gives an hopeful tone
>535 last page basically sets Baku doing gambles against the entire world thanks to Lalo's diamond, good closure for his character
The reveals after that feel kinda stupid and the last minute jobber doesn't feel remotely threatening, I just tend to ignore the last 3 chapters

Yeah, 535's "That is my justice" would've been an amazing last line, and 534 feels like a better cliffhanger ending

it fits the theme for the ending to be a reverse bait that makes you think it's setting up a sequel.
