actually I think they call it a quarter-pounder in Japan. ko-ta- paunda-. Many countries do. even translating it to the local language, like in Dutch it's the Kwartaal Pond. it's just a selection of anal-retentive countries like the French who use Royale.

she's not pronouncing it the Japanese way. The Japanese pronunciation is 'han-baagaa'. she makes a specific note to say it in the English 'ham-bur-gerrr', with the Rs enunciated (which doesn't exist in the Japanese language). and does it with several other English words.
