Is anime healing? I feel like this has been a pretty good year for anime so far and there's still some cool stuff left + interesting upcoming anime for next year that have been announced
>>281363247 (OP) I feel like Japan is catching up that Shueisha on a general level isn't good, which is certainly helping because it's making japanese normalfags experiment more on what the watch/read.
>>281363247 (OP) You're not allowed to like Japshit or Japan anymore in this board or it will hurt the feelings of Koreans, Chinese and even SEA people here

>>281364114 Mashin Wataru and Sentai Red Isekai The new Aquarion was sadly shit and Gquuux was just OK
>>281363247 (OP) 9/13 it's been a good enough year that there's no shortage of things that are watchable, but that's only natural because there's like a hundred titles out every season

>>281363876 >Shueisha on a general level isn't good. I was gonna refute this because I like some of their works.
But sometimes it feels like people see them as the face of anime at times.
>>281365753 I also like some of their stuff but lately their editorial department has been going to the shitter ruining almost every new manga of theirs or having a lot of good stuff get canned. All of this have caused for Shueshia to not be seen as the face of anime recently in Japan although it's still very much seen as such in the west.
>>281365791 >only one remake pictured >remakes galore just admit that you don't watch anime

Is it really healing? We got a few cool anime here and there But what we really need is more originals and less things based on existing media And by original I don't mean God forsaken anime movies that will launch and come to Western countries 9 months later
>>281366959 We're still getting plenty of originals, problem is that most of them aren't good these days, they always find a way to fuck it up I'm surprised that Zenshu and Apocalypse Hotel actually ended up being good, also the kodomo version of Symphogear Princesion Orchestra has been great and that Precure is finally being allowed to be experimental since Sky after them trying to be as safe as possible after Suite.

>>281363247 (OP) >Is anime healing? Yes, but you don't have some of the best anime like Mono, Food For The Soul, and City on here.
>>281366959 We've had quite a few, how many do you want?
>>281363247 (OP) It isn't healing because the peak of healing storytelling, Aria hasn't gotten anime this year, nor has picrel

Some of the anime I've seen in the last few years have been so good I actually bother to recommend them to people. Demon Lord 2099, Apocalypse Hotel, Isekai Ojii-san, many more. I feel spoiled honestly.
>>281363247 (OP) I can't help but feel that the people who always say anime is dying or getting worse are either >people that only watch the most normalfag shit and never bother to experiment >people who hate Japan and try to pass off the medium as shit compared to western entertainment despite the latter becoming shit in recent years due to multiple movements that got competent people fired >people that don't even watch anime and just enjoy falseflagging on /a/ like the schizos on /v/ >people that mostly come here to just salefag about things they don't consume like the anons of /wsj/ The only people with an actual argument are the people that say that anime looks worse now because both the Showa bubble burst and standalone OVAs with infinite budget aren't a thing ever since streaming services took over, yet no one has brought up that argument on this thread because the anons here most likely haven't watched anything that old

>>281367912 I hope Isekai Ojisan gets a new season, has the studio made anything else besides the Dazai isekai?
>>281363876 >Shueisha on a general level isn't good It's just WSJ that's in the toilet right now quality-wise. Their other magazines and Jump+ are fine.
>>281376146 I feel like they're so big and have acquired so many companies at this point, that it's not saying much. Back in the day this would have meant a lot more though.
