The last third of FF is the best stuff Ohkubo has ever made, but if we have to compare only each series as a whole I’d need to rate SE a bit higher due to FF’s weaker start/middle.

Fire Force doesn't have anyone as cute as Maka.

I like Soul Eater's main trio and the ways Ohkubo depicted Madness in SE
Fire Force has some nice moments but it kinda falls flat even though it has some based characters like Vulcan

I liked Soul Eater's anime mostly for it being a halfway point in animation between the looser smeary styles of the 00's and the "I can't keep a camera in a fixed position because the Shinigami said it would kill my mother if I didn't track/arc" that came just a few years later.

Not just him the whole Chrona story arc got really freaky by the end of it, Ohkubo just has this crazy ability to change up his artystyle so the visual storytelling just Vibes with the mood he's trying to convey.

DavidPro's not bad but FF doesn't really have any style you can bring into an anime unlike SE
