Fuji's works tend to have a "lag" in the plot at some point, where he sort of just has the characters and world he created "exist" day to day whether it is intersting or plot progressing or not. CSM part 2 made me notice it, but I did a reread of FP this year and I know what you mean. It could have been editted down. And I love FP I only lowered it to a 9/10

Kenji Iwaisawa fits for director. The use of rotoscope and naturalistic character acting, use of shaky and rough lineart/art, not specially preocupied about mantaining characters on model, and also kino.

honestly maybe, definitely better than MAPPA at least. It would work if it was more like Devilman Crybaby and less like Dandadan though, Dandadan has a lot of weird CGI and stuff. Honestly, no one here saw it and you get banned for posting about it, but that Scott Pilgrim animation made by Science Saru had really incredible animation, I'd say better than Dandadan, so I think they could do some real great stuff with enough budget
