I can't watch Ghost in the Shell in anything other than the english dub. One of the few times where the dub had just as much direction as the original so the delivery is just correct. That and how the same english actors have done the entire franchise except the most recent tripe.

Why did most dubs fall off a cliff after like 2011ish? 90's and 2000s dubs had much better delivery than most anime today.

I just find that japanese va's voice quite relaxing, I liked her in rascal dreaming/bunny senpai, she also does a lot of cute pink haired character vocals, she has quite the range.

the case can be made for ghost in the shell 2015 the new movie and arise(dont watch the netflix slop please) being the same quality or better in japanese
but for the original movie's and stand alone complex dub is the way to go
the sub is great too but the dub is world class.

The only "anime" that works better dubbed is Chinese donghua with Japanese dubs.
Stop trying to shill non-Japanese dubs. They have always been dogshit. They will always be dogshit. Japan is the only country where professional voice actors actually have talent and aren't just the leftovers who weren't good enough for "real" acting.

I'm not gonna lie, the Funimation dub of One Piece would be so good if they didn't choose such a shitty voice for Luffy.

You can tell they really tried unlike other dubs because the first OPs and EDs were dubbed, plus, the releases weren't rushed out the door and took their time.
