Despite rarely seeing that kind of stuff except some very retarded social media accounts, it shouldn't really matter in the end if there is a stereotype. Is it fair to treat others shit because of stereotype some other people have formed about them? This includes things like nationality, ethnicity, gender, etc.
Should all women treat men as aggressive beasts who might practice domestic violence on them out of nowhere because of statistics? Do "A statistically significant proportion" of people from your country fall under negative stereotypes other countries think of it? Like I can promise you, there are easy way to find "evidence" of it by digging through social media by people who happens to really hate people from your country.
It is kinda self-feeding loop. You look at things of people who fits the negative stereotypes and keep telling you it's true while insisting there is no alternative, and even when you say "A statistically significant proportion" of people from said group are like that, you just use it to justify your views and how you treat said people.
It's easy trap to fall in, especially during social media age and constant propaganda, now AIslop on top of it feeding that kind of stuff.

What are your observations of them then? Social media retardation and...? Never talking to one from said group?
This is on level of forming my whole view of Americans on how Trump and California acts. Like at that point even I know I'm just finding excuses.
Don't lie to yourself. It's horrid trap and very hard get out of. Seriously.
I try my best to not judge any people who shows lots of hatred and general degradation of groups. It's mostly misinformation, fear of unknown and change, and hard grip on ego and marrying opinions that are fucking hard to let go of.
Good luck again for the both of you. I can't force you, but you know what's the right thing to do and what you would want someone who misunderstands your whole life/demographic to do.
