Right, it's dumb to treat it like a genre if everything else on the list is a broad-ass category. I'm watching because that's the kind of shounen and/or fantasy harem rape adventure getting made and that's what I'd be watching anyway; I'm indifferent to that particular highly specific element of the premise.

99% of isekai are just fantasy shows with a isekai-themed paintjob in first episode, but beyond that they're no different from generic fantasy. if you deleted the isekai scenes at the start, you could market the show/mango as a regular fantasy with a wish fulfillment hero and no one would realize it was supposed to be isekai.
