Is the remake as good as the original? It has taken me until rather recently to even accept Arc's new design so I'm rather uncertain the game will feel the same.

Arc's route is mostly the same aside from some more dere inclusions like a scene straight out of the manga.
Ciel's route is completely different since evidently Ciel's old route where it was just an offshoot of Arc's route wasn't that popular.

It only has two routes and it's twice the length of the original so you can presume it's comfortably better. (And it is comfortably better).
But it has its own issues like them ruining some designs like Ciel's, the original's atmosphere no longer being there, generally being a much more mass appealing production that's made for money. But the writing is better

It's not as good as the original because it doesn't have the best routes, but if you like Arcueid's route it's better. It's just an expanded version of her route (with nrvnqsr removed).
Ciel's route is entirely new since her old route was basically the same as Arcueid's, it's a lot more like Fate and modern TM stuff than the original Tsukihime. It gets pretty nutty towards the end and there's some fun Roa stuff in it.
Red Garden should have Sachin's route as well as the maids' and Akiha's, but I expect if it ever gets done Nasu will actually split it into 3 games because if not Red Garden will be like 2x as big as the first remake which is already longer than the original game.
